Élan provided civil engineering and landscape architecture services for the mixed use development to be located in the southeast quadrant of Bloomington Avenue and East Lake Street on the 2.35 acre site including the alley. The site is to be rezoned to a combination of C2 with the pedestrian overlay District and OR1 – Office Residence. The plan includes multiple stories at the corner of Bloomington and Lake for Family Partnership and two additional buildings on site that will be utilized by Project for Pride in Living (PPL) and Family Tree Medical Clinic. The alley will be removed and relocated to maintain access to the US Post Office at the southwest corner of the project, as well as the remaining single family homes along 16th Avenue. Élan worked closely with BWBR, MSR, and Perkins and Will (architects of PPL and Family Tree) to coordinate civil and landscape work with the building functions, including coordinating with their building engineering teams.
